‘Bhidu Bhasha’ was inspired by Amitabh Bachchan reveals Jackie Shroff on the sets of KBC 13 leaving Big B in shock
Amitabh Bachchan, the host of Kaun Banega Crorepati 13, was astonished when guest participant Jackie Shroff revealed that he was partially responsible for Jackie’s famed “bhidu bhasha.” Jackie’s ‘Bambaiya’ accent is well-known.
He appeared alongside Suniel Shetty on the show and will be featured on Friday’s episode. “Bhidu, I have one question,” Amitabh questioned him in Hindi in a new commercial video posted online by Sony TV. What’s the story behind your ‘bhidu bhasha?’ “Well, first and foremost, it was because of the place in which I was born and raised,” Jackie responded in Hindi. However, it is also due to you. Suniel broke up laughing as Amitabh gasped. Jackie then reminded Amitabh of a famous line from the film Amar Akbar Anthony, which he gladly delivered on the television.

Jackie’s son, actor Tiger Shroff, wrote for Man’s World in 2016 about his father’s early existence in a Mumbai chawl. “With his family, he used to live in a chawl in Walkeshwar, Mumbai, in an area called Teen Batti. He stayed there for another five to six years after becoming an overnight success with his first picture, Hero. In chawls, there are public restrooms, and he used to queue to use them in the morning. I recall him telling me that the one benefit of becoming a celebrity was that the other residents would let him skip the line. He’d ask if he might go early since he was running late for a shoot. I’ve heard a lot of stories about him.”
