Samantha Prabhu and her husband Naga Chaitanya have announced their separation
Samantha Prabhu has been in the headlines recently due to rumors that she and Naga Chaitanya are divorcing.
The actress starred in Amazon Prime Video’s critically acclaimed series “The Family Man 2.”
Speculations began to circulate after the actress removed her surname ‘Akkineni’ from all of her social media accounts and replaced it with her maiden name, Prabhu.
Samantha and Naga both acknowledged their divorce and posted messages on social media on October 2. After four years of marriage, the couple decided to call it quits. Both of them asked for privacy from fans and the media in their message.
According to India Today, the actress was allegedly promised alimony from Naga Chaitanya’s family for over Rs 200 crores. Samantha, on the other hand, is claimed to have turned down the offer because she is a successful and self-made woman.
Samantha Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya met on the set of the Telugu film “Ye Maaya Chesave” and instantly fell in love. The couple married in a lavish wedding in 2017.
