This CSK player, according to Michael Vaughan, is the “perfect T20 cricketer.”
Michael Vaughan Former England captain lauded Chennai Super Kings all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, calling him the “perfect T20 cricketer.” Jadeja has been in excellent form recently. This season, the 32-year-contributions old’s with both bat and ball have been crucial in CSK’s path to the playoffs. Vaughan, speaking on Cricbuzz Live, praised Jadeja’s all-around ability and described him as the ideal option for the game’s shortest format.
“You all know how much I admire Ravindra Jadeja. If you’re making a T20 cricketer—if you’re building a batter—you aim for Chris Gayle’s power and Virat Kohli’s technique and his ability to manoeuvre the ball. But if you want to construct a cricketer from the ground up, you nearly always start with someone like Ravindra Jadeja because he provides everything,” Vaughan stated on Cricbuzz Live.
Vaughan further added that “He (Jadeja) is an unbelievable fielder, he can bowl brilliant left-arm spin if there is an element of spin in the surface, he is as good as any. Obviously, with the bat, he can play the anchor role if you lose early wickets, he can also come in with 15 balls to go and pretty much go on from ball 01. He is the perfect T20 cricketer.”
Jadeja faced 19 deliveries and scored 64 runs in the 20th over of the IPL 2021. He has a strike rate of over 336 and has smashed seven sixes and three boundaries.
Jadeja has 212 runs in 10 innings this season with a strikeout rate of 152.51.
With the ball, the lefthander has taken ten wickets while allowing fewer than seven runs per over.
