After CSK’s IPL game, Deepak Chahar proposed to his girlfriend
Despite losing to Punjab Kings (PBKS), Chennai Super Kings (CSK) star Deepak Chahar concluded the day on a high note by proposing to his sweetheart after the game, who accepted. Chahar went to the stands after CSK’s defeat in Match 53 of the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 season and surprised his girlfriend, who was dressed in black. People seated beside them, including MS Dhoni’s wife Sakshi, applauded the two. “Special moment,” Chahar captioned a video of the proposal she shared on Instagram.
Until the proposal, Chahar’s day had been rather unremarkable, with CSK suffering a six-wicket defeat to Punjab. Although Chennai’s setback was unimportant because they had already qualified for the playoffs, the India international would be hoping to make a comeback in the knockout stages.
The 29-year-old only took one wicket and let up 48 runs in four overs as Punjab raced to 139 for four in 13 overs, surpassing CSK’s 134 mark with seven overs to spare.
