RCB Releases Wanindu Hasaranga and Dushmantha Chameera Before Eliminator
Wanindu Hasaranga and Dushmantha Chameera, both from Sri Lanka, have been released from the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) bio bubble ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 Eliminator, the team said on Monday. Hasaranga and Chameera have been given permission to join the Sri Lanka squad for the ICC men’s T20 World Cup qualifiers. “OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT Wanindu Hasaranga & Dushmantha Chameera have been released from the RCB bio bubble as they join up with the SL team for their #WT20 qualifiers. Returning to Sri Lanka, the Asian team named its final 15-man squad for the 2018 T20 World Cup on Sunday.
Sri Lanka Cricket has named Lahiru Kumara, Binura Fernando, and Akila Dananjaya to the final roster (SLC).
Mahela Jayawardene was named as the Sri Lankan squad’s consultant for the first round of the 2021 T20 World Cup last month.
Before beginning its T20 World Cup campaign, Sri Lanka will play in two ICC-organized World Cup warm-up games on October 12 and 14.
