As she shares a new photo with her newborn kid, Neha Dhupia pushes for the freedom to feed
Earlier this month, Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi became proud parents for the second time. The parents welcomed a son after their daughter Mehr. Neha shared one of the first few photos of her son with her son on Instagram on Wednesday. The actress and host, who has been a prominent supporter of breastfeeding’s acceptance, shared a photo along the same lines.
Neha can be seen feeding her son while smiling for the camera in the photo. To protect her son’s identity, the actress placed her palm over his face. “Freedom to feed,” she captioned the shot, referring to her parenting programme, which aims to eliminate the stigma associated with breastfeeding at any time and in any place.
During World Breastfeeding Week last year, Neha fought for normalising the breastfeeding topic. In an interview with NDTV at the time, she commented, “Breastfeeding is a wonderful thing. You are the one who feeds your child. Breastmilk is referred to as “liquid gold” by mothers. But, you know, the kind of spaces that exist in our country, and the fact that there isn’t a lot of talk about it, and there’s a stigma around breastfeeding, and you’re stared at when you go out in public and want to breastfeed your child, I believe these things need to be fixed, which is why I’m having this discussion.”
