Brad Hogg’s T20 World Cup Semifinal Picks: “If Pakistan Loses Against India…”

Former Australia cricketer Brad Hogg believes Pakistan will be eliminated from the 2021 ICC T20 World Cup semifinals if they lose to arch-rivals India in their season opener on October 24 in Dubai. Pakistan has a busy first week of the season, with games against New Zealand two days after India and Afghanistan three days later. India, on the other hand, will have a little more time to prepare before facing New Zealand in their second match of the season, which will take place exactly a week after their first match against Pakistan.

According to Hogg, the first game for Babar Azam’s Pakistan might determine whether they advance to the semifinals.

Former India cricketer Deep Dasgupta asked Hogg to announce his four semifinal predictions on his YouTube channel, and Hogg responded: “England and the West Indies from Group 1 are the sides I believe will advance to the semi-finals. Pakistan and India, I believe, will emerge victorious from Group 2.”

After then, the Australian added a note concerning Pakistan. “However, if Pakistan loses to India in the first game, they will have a short turnaround before facing New Zealand. That, I believe, will be a major determining factor in whether Pakistan passes or fails. I don’t think Pakistan will advance if they lose the first game against India. India will be successful “Hogg went into further detail.

India warmed up for the main event by winning easy warm-up games against England and Australia. Pakistan, on the other hand, beat the West Indies in their warm-up games before losing to South Africa.
