Dominic Drakes has been signed by the Chennai Super Kings as a replacement for the injured Sam Curran

Dominic Drakes, an uncapped West Indian all-rounder, was named to the Chennai Super Kings team on Wednesday to replace injured England all-rounder Sam Curran for the rest of the Indian Premier League. Drakes, a left-handed batsman, has played in one First-Class match, 25 List A matches, and 19 T20 matches so far. Due to a lower back injury sustained during one of the IPL matches, Curran has been ruled out of the remaining IPL matches as well as the forthcoming ICC T20 World Cup.
On Thursday, the Chennai Super Kings will face Punjab Kings in their final league game at the Dubai International Stadium.
