India against Pakistan in the T20 World Cup: Pakistan Names 12-Man Squad For Match Against India

Babar Azam, Pakistan’s captain, has named a 12-man squad for Sunday’s high-octane match against India in the ongoing ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. In a news conference on Saturday, Azam revealed the squad, which includes Mohammad Hafeez and Shoaib Malik. Malik and Hafeez provide a wealth of expertise to the Pakistani team, and their previous experience playing against India in World Cups will be a significant asset.

Shaheen Afridi, a 21-year-old Pakistan Super League talent who has picked up four wickets in both warm-up games, has also been included.

Hasan Ali, the Men in Green’s top pacer, is also included in the squad. The lanky bowler succeeds on the UAE’s slower tracks; his variations and lengths will be difficult for the Indian hitters to control, and they must approach him with caution at the top.

Virat Kohli and his team will play Babar Azam’s Pakistan for the first time in almost two years, reigniting an age-old rivalry. Pakistan has yet to beat India in a World Cup, as the Men in Blue have dominated the head-to-head record.

Both teams, on the other hand, have come into the competition with a fresh outlook, brimming with immense young potential and the desire to show themselves on the largest platform of them all.

Babar Azam (captain), Mohammad Rizwan, Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Hafeez, Shoaib Malik, Asif Ali, Imad Wasim, Shadab Khan (vice-captain), Hasan Ali, Haider Ali, Haris Rauf, and Shaheen Shah Afridi make up Pakistan’s 12-man team against India.
