KKRvsRCB: MATCH WINNING PERFORMANCE BY VARUN CHAKRAVARTHY
A superb performance from Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) bowlers, led by mystery spinner Varun Chakravarthy bowled out Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for a paltry total of 92 in 19 overs on Monday.
Varun, who bagged the key wicket of dangerous Glenn Maxwell, said that the plan was to attack the stumps as the ball was doing a bit initially. The other two wickets were of Sachin Baby and debutant Wanindu Hasaranga.
“The plan was to attack the stumps, the ball was doing a bit initially, now it has flattened, so we just stuck to our plans,” Varun Chakravarthy told the broadcasters.
Chakravarthy also made a case for being picked in India’s playing XI for the upcoming T20 World Cup.
“I’m happy to do whatever the coach and the captain want me to do, be it bowling the first over or come back later,” he said.
“Kudos to the whole bowling unit, it was a very disciplined bowling performance,” he added.
