Rajinikanth receives the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award at the 67th National Film Awards.

The 67th National Film Awards are currently taking place in New Delhi, with actor Rajinikanth receiving the Dadasaheb Phalke Award. Along with superstar Rajinikanth, Asha Bhosle and Mohanlal were among those nominated for this coveted award. Rajinikanth also shared a few candid moments with Kangana Ranaut and Dhanush ahead of the big event.

For the uninitiated, the Dadasaheb Phalke Awards were supposed to take place last year, but they were postponed because to the COVID-19 outbreak, as were the 67th National Film Awards. Rajinikanth and his wife Latha Rajinikanth arrived at the function in New Delhi today. Aishwarya Rai was also present at the awards ceremony, along with her actor-husband Dhanush, who received the Best Actor award for Asuran, as well as the Best Film award in Tamil.

Rajinikanth paid tribute to his master and guru K Balachander in his acceptance speech. “I’m overjoyed to get this and grateful to the administration. I dedicate this honour to Balachander sir, my master and guru.”
