Shakib Al Hasan is dismissed after Adil Rashid makes an incredible catch

On Wednesday in Abu Dhabi, England defeated Bangladesh by 8 wickets in their second encounter of the 2017 T20 World Cup. Jason Roy top-scored for England with a 61-run knock as England chased a 125-run goal. For the second wicket, Roy scored 73 runs with Dawid Malan. Tymal Mills, Liam Livingstone, and Moeen Ali bowled outstanding spells to restrict Bangladesh to a score of 124 while bowling first. Meanwhile, Bangladesh’s renowned all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan was dismissed by English leg-spinner Adil Rashid, who took an amazing catch in the field.

Shakib attempted to pull a short ball bowled by Chris Woakes. The Bangladeshi all-rounder got a top edge, and Adil Rashid, who put up a fantastic effort, grabbed the ball at short fine leg.

ICC posted a video of the catch on their Instagram account, captioning it, “Shakib now departs. Woakes gets the wicket as Adil Rashid takes a brilliant catch.”

Shakib’s wicket proved to be the game’s turning point, as Bangladesh’s batting collapsed following that. Bangladesh’s Mushfiqur Rahim top-scored with 29-run innings.

With this win, England maintained their dominance in Group 1 by maintaining a four-point lead in the points standings. On Saturday, the Eoin Morgan-led side will meet arch-rivals Australia in their final match of the competition.

Bangladesh, on the other hand, has lost both of their Super 12 matches and has three more matches left in their campaign, so they will have to make the most of the remaining games if they are to qualify for the final four. On Friday, the Mahmudullah-led team will face the defending champions West Indies.
