After a long wait, the Volkswagen Taigun is now on sale. With this offering, the German automaker has joined the compact SUV market, and pre-orders have already begun to be taken since August. The Volkswagen Taigun is intended to compete with other cars such as the MG Astor, Tata Punch, Nixon, Venue, and other mid-sized SUVs.
The Volkswagen Taigun’s base price has been set at Rs. 10.50 lakh (ex-showroom price), with multiple variants with upgraded engines and interior features.

With its two-slat grille and chrome inserts, as well as LED headlamps with DRLs, the car appears to stand out among other compact SUVs. Fog lights, brushed aluminum faux skid plates, 17-inch alloy wheels, LED taillights, and a shark-fin antenna is among the SUV’s standard features. The car’s interior will also include a dual-tone color combination and a 10-inch touchscreen entertainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support. A rear parking camera, ventilated front seats, ambient lighting, ABS, a cooled glovebox, six airbags, and wireless charging are all offered on the Volkswagen Taigun.
