Virat Kohli will step down from the captaincy after the men’s T20 World Cup
Kohli cited the demands of all-format captaincy and announced that he will be stepping down as captain of the Indian cricket team in T20Is after the completion of the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup, which is scheduled to take place in UAE and Oman from October 17 to November 14. He will continue to lead the team in Test cricket and ODIs.

Captain Kohli said: “I feel I need to give myself space to be fully ready to lead the Indian Team in Test and ODI cricket.”
